Quirino Tourism

Tourism in the province of Quirino is a growing sector that contributes to socio-economic development opportunities while environmental and natural resource conservation and protection is vigorously pursued. The province is a silent and a landlocked haven of ecotourism destinations. It is identified by the Regional Development Council for sustainable ecotourism development given such bounty of nature-based riches. Local leaders, articulate of Quirino’s blessings of scenic spots that include unique caves formations, awe-dropping landscapes, distinct rock towers, pristine rivers, corridor hills, lush forests, native products, rich cultural heritage and arts, among others.

It is bounded by Isabela on the North, Aurora on the East/Southeast, Sierra Madre mountain ranges on Eastern and Southern borders and Mamparang ranges on Western borders.

Constituted into a regular province on September 10, 1971, the very young province is the THE PRIME AGRO-INDUSTRIAL AND ECO-TOURISM DESTINATION IN THE NORTH! With so much yet to be unveiled, the province welcomes everyone to join the fun and excitement to DISCOVER QUIRINO!!!

AGLIPAY CAVES AND CAMPSITE promises a special venue for communing with nature. A series of 38 caves, seven of which have been developed as tourist spots. Located in the midst of rolling hills and verdant forest, the caves boast of peculiar characteristics of their own such as an underground spring and well – preserved stalagmites and stalactites. The caves interlink with each other and run to a depth of about 20 meters. The place is recommended for camping activities and outdoor functions especially for big groups. It is located at Villa Ventura, Aglipay, Quirino.

PENSAL FALLS is a three-tier waterfalls located at San Benigno, Aglipay. It has a nice sloping rock formation in the middle perfect for cliff jumping for extreme sports enthusiasts or simply picnicking, swimming and communing with nature.

QUIRINO WATERSPORTS COMPLEX (SOON TO OPEN!!!) is a cluster of facilities strategically located at the Capital town of Cabarroguis. Soon to open, this premier tourism attraction in the province is a total package. Facilities include Wakeboarding Deck, Wakeboarding Main Pavilion, Infinity Pool, Al-Fresco Restaurant and Hostels.

QUIRINO PROVINCE MUSEUM is also established in the municipality of Cabarroguis which is the service center of the whole province. In this museum, the richness and diversity of history and culture of all tribes in the province of Quirino are displayed, kept and maintained in forms of various valuable historical artifacts.

GANANO FALLS located at Baguio Village, Diffun, Quirino, is a towering 80-meter-high waterfalls with torrents of water pouring down into a stone formation likened to a chair. Enjoy swimming while communing with nature in the surrounding forests and fish sanctuary creeks. Trek and pass through rivers and streams to reach the falls.

GOVERNOR’S RAPIDS in Divisoria Sur is famous for its gigantic limestone formations which served as shelter for Dumagats and adventurers. A tributary of the mighty Cagayan River which is the longest river system in the Philippines. It was also awarded as one of the cleanest inland bodies of water in the region. Best for boating, sightseeing and spelunking.
